How much is an Olympic Gold medal worth?

It’s not as much as you think.

Olympic medals often sell for far more than this.

For example:

-Jesse Owens’s gold medals from the 1936 Olympics sold for about $1.47 million.

-And Ukrainian boxer, Waldimir Klitschko sold his boxing gold medal for $1m.

Why? Because it’s not just about the materials, but it’s also about the story and the emotion behind the medal.
